Copies were ordered and are available for pick up at the Elkhart Lake Public Library.  You will need a library card; applications are available in the HS libary if you do not already have one.  I would be willing to pick up the book for you if you are unable to get to the libary on your own.  However, you will still need a library card and will be responsible for the book upon check out.  Books returned to me on the day of the discussion will be returned to the library, otherwise you will be responsible for return on your own.

We are all looking forward to our first discusson and hope to have many more to follow.

High School Book Club now forming!

A meeting was held in the high school library on Dec.1st to discuss the possibility of forming a student book club.

The decision was made to discuss 4 books in a normal school year.  Discussions will be held after school (2:51-3:35) releasing in time for students who need to take the late bus home.

The following titles have been suggested for our first discussion (tentatively scheduled for Thursday Feb 3)

Balzac and the Little Chinese Princess
Turtle Warriors
Looking for Alaska
Whale Talk
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
The Book Thief
Water for Elephants

Descriptions and reviews of these titles are available on Amazon.com

Stop in to the library and vote for your preference of title and/or suggestion of meeting date for the book discussion.

Anyone wanting to participate needs to let me know by Monday so that I can order the number of books needed from our local public library.  I would like the book in your hand in time for the holiday break.

Thanks for your involvement and...  Keep Reading!
