High School Reading Contest

The EL-G High School Library kicked off the annual reading contest in April during National Library Week.  Students read books and for every 50 pages read can enter their names into the prize box.  There are many awesome prizes - T-shirts, gift cards to area restaurants and businesses, iTunes cards, Marcus Movie Theater passes and many other exciting prizes.  We were thrilled to see over 50 students sign up for the reading contest!  The contest will conclude on Thursday, May 28th - students who entered are invited to the High School Library during  lunch for the prize drawing.

High School Book Club

The ELG High School Book Club had a great start to the school year. In September the book The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman was read.  We had a great turnout and a fantastic discussion.  The next book discussion is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th.

The book chosen for October is No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale.

We are always looking for new members - students, staff, parents and community members.  Please see Mrs. Hatas if you would like to be in the discussion- she will definitely get you a copy of the book.
